Hoober, Inc., officially opened two locations in Virginia on June 1 with the conversion of the former Cavalier International stores in Ashland, VA and Wakefield, VA to Hoober, Inc. locations.
 
Hoober, Inc. had previously announced the family-owned dealership had an agreement to acquire the assets of Cavalier International and that acquisition was completed at the close of business on May 31.
 
“It’s great to be open for business in Virginia,” said Chuck Hoober of Hoober, Inc. “I think customers are going to benefit from the additional resources we are able to provide to the Virginia stores, whether it’s parts and service support, new and used equipment options, or precision farming technology and expertise. In Hoober’s Ashland and Wakefield locations there will be several familiar faces customers have come to know over the years with a number of former Cavalier International employees now part of Hoober’s local management team.
 
Will Brown is the Service Manager at Ashland, Bill Cridlin is the Ag Sales Manager for Ashland and Wakefield, Dawn Ball is the Office Manager at Ashland, Darrell Sims is the Kubota Sales Manager at Ashland, Joe Vitek is the Parts Manager at Ashland, and Wayne Thomas is the Store and Parts Manager at Wakefield.

Hoober, Inc. Adds Norris as Service Manager at Pocomoke Location
  Hoober, Inc., recently announced that Seth Norris has been named Service Manager at the Pocomoke, MD store.
 
In his role as Service Manager, Norris will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing repairs in the service shop and on the farm. A graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Business Management, Norris previously worked for John Deere as an instructor training dealership technicians on servicing and repairing equipment.
 
“Seth brings valuable experience working with multiple brands, including Case IH and John Deere equipment,” said Mike Null, Hoober’s Operation Assistant who leads the dealership’s operations across the Delmarva Peninsula. “That experience allows us to better serve the agricultural community in Pocomoke and the surrounding region when it comes to equipment service and repair.”
Hoober, Inc. to Acquire Cavalier International Assets
  Hoober, Inc., and Cavalier International, an ag equipment dealer with 2 locations in Ashland and Wakefield, VA have entered into an agreement for Hoober to acquire the Assets of Cavalier.  The Acquisition is expected to take place at the close of business on May 31.

Bradley Promoted to Sales Position at Hoober, Inc. Seaford Location
  Seaford, DE - Hoober, Inc., recently promoted George Bradley to a sales position at the dealership’s Seaford, DE location.
 
Bradley was previously a product support specialist at Hoober Inc.’s Middletown, DE location, where he worked for seven years. Bradley’s primary responsibility will be new and used farm equipment sales in Wicomico County, MD; Worcester County, MD; and southern Sussex County, DE.
 
 
New, Smaller Sprayer Expected To Be Big Hit With Mid-Atlantic Farmers
Intercourse, PA – Case IH recently introduced their new Patriot 2240 self-propelled sprayer, a smaller sprayer with the same features as larger Case IH Patriot sprayers, a move many see as having a big impact on farmers and commercial applicators in the Mid-Atlantic region.
 
“Basically this is the sprayer that a lot of farmers in our area have been waiting for,” said Chuck Hoober, of Hoober, Inc. “It’s the ideal size for many of our customers’ farms. It’s smaller, lighter and has narrower track spacing than the larger Patriot sprayers, while offering more ground clearance than any competitive model. For farmers with specialty crops or smaller fields this sprayer is ideal.”
Hoober Inc. names Dan Balint as Middletown Store Manager

Middletown, DE –Dan Balint was recently promoted to the position of Store Manager and Parts Manager at our Middletown location.
Balint joined Hoober in 2006 and most recently held the position of Tractor Shop Manager. In his new role Balint will be in charge of managing the Middletown store as well as managing the location’s parts department.
Balint replaces Mike Null, who was promoted to Hoober’s Operations Assistant with oversight responsibility for operations of Hoober’s Middletown, Seaford, and Pocomoke locations.

Hoober, Inc. Opens New Pocomoke Location
Pocomoke, MD – Hoober, Inc., a farm equipment dealer with locations in Pennsylvania and Delaware, recently opened a new location in Pocomoke, MD.
In September, 2012 Hoober, Inc. acquired the assets of Leatherbury Equipment in Cheriton, VA and in conjunction with that acquisition Hoober announced plans to move the dealership to a new facility in Pocomoke, MD.

Hoober, Inc. Announces Acquisition of Leatherbury Equipment Assets
Hoober, Inc., is acquiring assets of Leatherbury Equipment located in Cheriton, VA.  This acquisition expands Hoober Inc.’s presence in the Southern portion of the Delmarva Peninsula, and further strengthens Hoober Inc.’s ability to serve Ag Producers’ equipment needs across the entire Delmarva Peninsula.

Hoober Annual Tractor, Truck Pull To Benefit Hudson Family Farm
Middletown, DE – On Saturday, August 25 Hoober, Inc. will host a Tractor/Truck Pull at the Chestertown Elks Lodge to benefit the Hudson Family Farm in Berlin, MD. The Mid-Atlantic Pulling Association sanctioned event will get underway with the Antique Tractor Class at 9AM. Classic and Open Tractor classes will follow with pickup trucks starting at 5PM.
“This is our fourth year hosting the pull at Chestertown and it’s always a lot of fun,” said Mike Null, manager of Hoober’s Middletown location.
